Best known for fishing, boating, surfing and diving Marion Bay is an ideal option for holiday seekers that wish to escape the busyness of everyday city life. It is a great spot to get back to nature and to re connect with family and friends.
It’s easy to get around Marion Bay by bike (like the locals) or on foot. The local jetty is well known for squidding and sting ray spotting!
There are many great walks to do in Marion Bay and in Innes National Park. From 30 minute strolls to 4 hour hikes, expect to spot southern right whales (winter months), dolphins, seals, kangaroos and emus to name a few.
Surfers know and love many great surf spots in and around Innes. A few (that I am allowed to share) include Ethel’s, Pondalowie Bay and Chinamans. A great and safer option for the kids to learn to surf is Penguin Point (continuation of Marion Bay beach). Alternately book a professional surfing lesson with Surf Groms.
